The boys had a lot of fun at the Kids' Art Festival hosted by Fair Oaks Parks and Rec.

Day 114

Gym Show #2
Tonight was Ty's second show night at the gym.  It was fun to be on the floor and actually get to see Cody's group as well, though the parkour kids don't have a show.

Day 112

Moving up....
for the week.
The swim clinic hasn't been what we remember from last year.  So for Tyler to get some more lap time and the ability to work on new strokes, we moved him over to the older kids clinic with Cody.
Next week he'll be back with this 7-8 buddies.

Day 105

Quilting bee....
About 7 years ago I joined an online community of moms all pregnant with babies due in August of 06'.  Over the years, we've all stayed together, moving from a public forum to a private one, many of the members have met up and hopefully I'll be able to go to one someday.
We have some very talented women amongst us with huge hearts.  One has organized a quilting bee to make a quilt for another mom that's going through some really hard times.
These are my blocks that I'll send to her to be put together and quilted, similar to this quilt
Excited to see it all put together.

Day 104

Swimming in the rain....
Swim clinic started today, marking the beginning of the boy's swim season.
Tyler was the first one in the pool, helping Coach pull the lane lines.

Day 103

Soccer day....
Tyler was excited to play with his friend Merrie today while the big kids had their soccer clinic.

Saturday, April 13, 2013

Day 102

Duck, duck, goose....
The boys wanted to play with their boats again, so we headed over to Willows Creek.  This was not a very good spot for the boats because the big rocks are slippery.  We did have quite a bit of interest from the ducks and geese though.

Day 101

Park fun....
One of the new favorite parks we go to (Miller Park) has a small stream that runs through it, bull of all kinds of crazy critters.  Apparently there was a small catfish swimming around causing quite a bit of excitement.

Day 100

Doin' work....
Cody has been eyeballing our rope at home for a while, climbing up a couple of pulls then coming back down, mostly using it as a swing.  Yesterday, he became determined to get higher and did throughout the day.  Keith challenged both the boys to climb clear up to the top, if they made it we would go to ice cream.  Tyler made it about 3/4 of the way and came back down.  Cody rose to the challenge and climbed clear to the top, then Tyler followed suit as to not lose out on a treat.
He wanted to show off his skills tonight, but was too tired to get much higher than this at the end of his class.  (the rope burns on his ankle probably didn't help much either)
Super proud that he's conquered it once and I know he'll do it again!

Day 95

Party time...
With Cody's Birthday falling on Easter, it was easier to do his friend party the following weekend.
Indoor swim party = awesome time!

Friday, April 5, 2013

Day 94

Climbing....
Tyler is getting closer and closer to the top of the rope.  He's strong enough to get there because he will climb up and down 3-5 times each time he goes out.  He is nervous about being up so high.
Can't blame him there!

Thursday, April 4, 2013

Day 93

Procrastination....
It's an art form.
Our teacher is coming tomorrow, the boys need something to present, mom spends most the evening working on a scrapbook from their trip.
I swear we won't wait until the last minute next month.

Day 90

New toys...
A new soccer trainer so Cody can work on things at home without have to chase the ball halfway across the field (or over the neighbors fence).  So far both boys have really loved it.
