Fall....

Creating....

We finally busted out the last of Tyler's birthday presents today, a bouncy ball making kit.  The boys thought it was really cool and the process is simple.  The worst part is waiting for them to process, about 30 minutes total.  They aren't the bounciest balls we've ever had, but they made them and thought it was fun!  Thanks Black Family!

Young Engineers....

Today in class the boys built a helicopter out of wood blocks, then made a paper whirly bird to take home.

Picnic lunch....

Kinda. 

The boys love taking their lunch outside and sitting on the rocks.  It's not been as hot this past week, so it's been pretty pleasant to sit out there.

Signs of Fall....

Waiting for the boys to get out of their class today, fall was trying to be in the air.

They've decided that they want make a bunch of things to put on the wall as a mural in the toy room.  Should be fun to see what all they come up with.

Clearing the garden bed...

Phew, now at least it doesn't look like a jungle!  

Still need to search through the potato bag, then find some new small, flowering bushes to plant  that really like the sun.

Both boys' teams lost, but they played pretty well.  Another one in the books.

Bring a friend....

This week at the gym was bring a friend week.  We forgot about it on Tuesday, and Ty's friend couldn't make it on Friday, but Cody was able to have his buddy Ethan join him for his class.

Class day....

This week we had our first round of enrichment classes through our charter school.  

Thursday, for the first 3 weeks, we hang out at the church they are located at most the day.  Tyler goes to class, then Cody, then we have lunch and start the cycle again.  In between we get to hang out and do our other school work for the day, one on one.

Wrapped in their Snuggie style blankets, the boys played some computer games for a bit this morning.  Love a good, lazy Sunday!

BBQ Treats...

We went to a BBQ tonight with some very good friends.  It was the perfect time to try the layered Jell-O I've been eying on Pinterest.  Yum!

Baby Aiden....

Yesterday, baby Aiden made his debut at 9:33am, weighing in at 9lb 2oz and 21" long.  

Today the boys and I took some lunch up to them at the hospital so they could meet their new cousin.  They were a bit nervous, but did pretty well.

Today was one of our trips to the library, we usually go about every other week.

Labor day....

Well, Keith did some hard work, cleaning up the garage so the Tahoe fits in again.  We've let it become a drop area since the spring, so it was time to get things back together.

New toys....

Tyler scored big yesterday with a bunch of new LEGO sets.  The boys had them all put together by about 8:15 this morning.

Zoo...

Grandma and Grandpa are down visiting from Boise to celebrate Tyler's Birthday.  

We headed over to the zoo today to see the sites.

Boys in the Dirt...

 Our back yard is lacking grass, so the boys have started to dig and play in the dirt areas.  They are having a good time and spending more time outside, so can't really complain here!

Six....

This one turned six today, finally six.  I think we will say that every year as he seams to be the youngest of his friends.  We had a very mellow day, but he did get a Birthday donut and went out to ice cream with the Grandparents in the evening.  This weekend we will celebrate with family and next weekend we'll have a party with friends.

Organizing....

With the great re-do of the office and bathrooms, I started making a list of other areas in our house that could use some re-organizing.  The bathroom vanities were first, lots of things thrown away that haven't been used since we moved in 4 years ago.  

Today's project was the two corner cabinets in the kitchen.  Things were tossed, moved and added to the give away pile.  A little each week, hopefully it will be done before I know it!

Gifts for Baby...

In the next couple of weeks, the boys will be gaining a cousin and we will be getting a nephew!  It's very exciting and it will be a lot of fun to have a little one around again.  

Virginia's shower was this weekend and this meant I could get crafty!

These are scrap fabric blocks, found in a magazine I purchase years ago.  

Along with a simple draw string bag.

Party Sunday....

Today we went to a Birthday party in the morning, then my Sister-in-Law's baby shower and the Niello company bbq.

Soccer Saturdays begin....

Both boys had their seeding tournaments today so their teams can be placed for the 1st half of the season.  Let the games begin!

Cody's super wiggly top tooth finally fell out this morning.

The boys barricaded their toy room and hung a blanket as a door, then called it their "man cave."

Decided...

So after much debate, I took the advice of a friend and have gone with a bathroom rug that blends into the floor.  This lets the curtain and other features shine through, while having a mat that soaks up the water as the boys are getting out of the tub.  

The orange rug is still around as a back up and will be thrown into rotation on occasion.  

The others will be going back.

Gotta love first world problems, the little things that keep you up at night. 

Oh and eventually I'll have to buy matching towels for the room, any ideas?

Bathroom project...

Done!

The bathroom is now finished and fully functioning.  

Now if I can just pick a color for the rug.....
